A dream

Blog #8

Because the weather was so undesirable, he could not leave his small apartment for the day. He felt the whole town sleeping. Therefore, he lied on his bed listening to the faint buzzing sound of the heater slowly dozing off into his world. He could see himself from the ceilings perspective, only he was awake. The dream started pretty ordinary; just him taking on the his typical daily routines. It was yesterday. He woke up, got dressed, made some coffee, and brushed his teeth before leaving to go work then to see Victor. His dream did not follow him though. He watched his untouched room for what felt like days, but were probably minutes waiting for himself to arrive. The day felt average for Bradley, even boring. Once he had arrived home, in the dream, the sun had already set. He was exhausted so put his leftovers in the fridge from his night out and brushed his teeth. As he was going beginning to change the dream refocused on a tall and slim man that was directly behind him. Bradley continued to change without recognizing.
Before the dream could reveal any answers, Bradley was awaken by the screeches of children as they had discovered the winter wonderland that came overnight. Bradley immediately rushed and checked behind all his doors, for something, anything that the man in his dreams may have disrupted, but found nothing. He had never dreamt of the past which he found unusual. Petrified by what he saw, it was hard for him to believe such a thing, how would he have gotten in? He thought. If the dream were showing what really happened how did I not notice his presence like I did the other day as I was resting by the river? Who is this man and what does he want from me?

Silent City

Blog #2 It was midway through yet another rainy day. Bradley dragged his exhausted body across his mattress to check the time. He wasn’t at all surprised that he had overslept, the silence of the city had him captivated. Last night was a blur at the Platinum Bar just down the road. He was one of the few who decided to set free from his one bed apartment, most people around him mourned over the death of Mr. Evans. But, Bradley felt unfazed, there was no relationship among the him and Mr. Evans. The loose murder gave him a few chills, but no feeling he couldn’t rid of. Bradley is formidable, not many scenarios disconcert him. Once he finally acquired the strength to pull himself together and collect his fresh new button up and black slacks, he stumbled over to his shower. Setting his pristine clothes on the small, red mat that lied next to the tub. He slowly turned the knob waiting for the cold water to come bursting out, but nothing. He faced the faucet, while thinking to himself,...

Blog #6 To New Beginnings

Blog #6 Surprisingly awakened by the fog in the air, Bradley rubbed his eyes thinking it was entirely his vision or another symptom. Rolling out of bed, only to discover that the deep crack in the wall along his bedside table, had fog rapidly seeping in. He gazed outside his window hoping to discover different a clear day , but his vision did not go further than the sidewalk below him. Today, he and all the rest of his neighbors will be imprisoned in their homes he imagined. He thought about the irony of his wish the other night, that he get a vivid understanding of the murderer, but today, it seemed as if the world was working against him, by blinding him from the truths that he is yet to unravel. Maybe this was not his fate, maybe the world did not want him to be the hero. Afterall he has had this old rusty knife sitting around his house making him paranoid out of his mind for weeks now. He went outside his room to collect his newspaper, only to realize the deliverer gave ...

All The Towns Talk

Blog #3 It had been a couple weeks since the passing of Mr. Evans, but it didn’t seem that way. Bradley was startled by the amount of town gatherings that were taking place; to discuss the murder he imagined. As time flew by, Bradley knew he needed to branch out more, he was worried the whole town may know all the secrets. Everyone, but him.   Today, he was called in late to work at Alice’s 24 hour Diner, for their routine electrician maintenance check. Bradley was let down, he had planned on meeting Victor’s brother who was visiting tonight. He often used to get lost in his work and forget his life around him. Ever since he has moved to the Maitland, however, that has not been the case. He set off on his bike, moments later coming across who he thought to be Jamie painting up one of the cities buildings. Jamie lives in the same complex as Bradley, but the two have never spoke to one another. Bradley always found him interesting, almost mysterious. Once he had ar...
